Leaving San Francisco
After years in Silicon Valley, we moved to the Philippines to build ToolPlex. We saw established companies with years of valuable data they could not easily use. Important decisions still depended on disconnected reports, spreadsheets, and slow manual processes.
We saw an opportunity to help companies back home use that data, make better decisions, and replace slow, error-prone work.

Ronnel Boettcher
Founder · Product & Engineering
Ronnel leads product and engineering at ToolPlex and works directly with clients from the first discussion through deployment.
Before founding ToolPlex, he was a senior software engineer and technical lead at Google, working on YouTube Search ranking infrastructure and machine learning, as well as YouTube Shorts. Earlier in his career, he worked at Blend and Microsoft.
He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Caltech in 2015.
How we work.
ToolPlex is founder-led. Ronnel works directly with each client from the first meeting through launch, and ToolPlex remains responsible for the system after it goes live. We take on a limited number of new engagements at a time.
